My filling fell out today in one of my back molors. (when I was eating a graham cracker of all things) It was a huge filling, so over half of the tooth is now gone. My dentist it out of town until Monday. Will it be okay to wait that long? There's just kind of a dull ache right now, should I expect it to get worse, or will it be okay?

    • You could try going to a Wal-Mart or somewhere and get a temporary filling material to fill the tooth with until Monday. Your dentin is probably exposed in the tooth and that will cause the tooth to be sensitive. You probably have a cavity in the tooth for the filling to have fallen out though. Hope I helped.

    • You'll be fine till Mon (hopefully you have made an appt for Mon) just don't eat anything too hot, cold, hard, gummy.

    • Yeah don't eat anything hot cold gummy or hard--which means that non-refrigerated puddings will be your best friend, trust me! I can't even eat lukewarm soup on my brand new fillings, or let water--room temp water hit them!

      Good luck!
